That huge fish in the middle is my very old black skirt tetra. My first fish and still with me. I love it and i dont how i would react when it leaves me
It is 6 years old, meaning it exceded its lifespawn. I have 2 Black skirt tetras both 4 inches double the regular size and both with me for a very long time (6 years) and i love them both
And i am probaly not going to change the filter, because it looks clear to me, so there really isnt a point. I decided to wait until i get my new tank withing the next 2-3 months.
Ill go with black background. Black background on white substrate might look good.
I've tried an airstone .... wont it be loud for my black skirt tetras, especially since they are quiet fish. Or should i still get it.
I was also planning to add ghost shrimp. Are there any other shrimps that wont get eaten that will do fine in my tank?
No it won't bother the fish because I had black skirt tetras in my 10g and had a UGF running on a air pump and they seemed fine. You should get a air wand that runs from end to end on the back of the tank, that would look good.
How long has it been since you've added fish to the tank? I'd add 4 more black skirt tetras to the tank and thats it. I wouldn't get ghost shrimp because with that size tank you wouldn't see them.
I just want the ghost srimps so they could clean thats it. Thats why i asked are there any other shrimps that would clean without ggetting eaten by my fish.
I was thinking of adding 4 more cardinals, 3 more guppies, and then maybe 2 more black skirt tetras. Is this fine?
