They are so cute and tiny, eye balls and tails now you need to get them a nice tank. My platy only had 13 . They took over my QT tank for now.

i have a baby brine hatchery running and i have hikari first bites. when shoul i start feeding them and what should i feed them

I am feeding them bug bites flakes that I grind to a dust, they seem to like it and line up by the side of the tank, I started right away as soon as I saw them in my tank.

newborn fry will not be interested in eating straight away best to start feeding after the first 24-hours

They're still absorbing the yolk in the first 24 hours, but if I'm not sure when exactly they were born, I drop a tiny amount of First Bites in there and see if they go for it. But I also usually raise fry in the same tank as the adults, so uneaten food isn't a concern. Once they've absorbed the yolk, they're ready for food and usually a bit more active as they look for it.

Mine were so tiny I did not see them at first and vacuumed up 6 before I realized they were in the tankbut I rescued them.
