Cheers, actually, yeah they do behave themselves, i'm obviously not there all the time to watch, but i've not seen one pick on anything in a good few weeks now. its normally the bronze corys who get a bit of stick, but they havnt been touched as far as i can see for a while now. :)

Tanks looking great.

I might be completely wrong but i think the rocks are too tall for the rams to use. Think they need something near the level of the substrate.

Cool Zoddy, that would make sense, i know they like to burrow down a little into the sand too. Might look at a few bits of thick slate here and there and some flat stones :good:

Yeah, rams, like other dwarf cichlids like having little caves at substrate level. Flower pots on their side or slate/coconut caves are perfect for them :good: whatever you use you can cover with moss so its a bit less obvious! ;)

I was going to add this last night but I wanted to check I was correct before replying (was on phone and could not be bothered!)

Rams prefer rocks with a reddish colour for breeding apparently.

Nice cheers. I have had them lay eggs before, actually on some bogwood but a few days later they nom nom them :> I'm not too concerned about them breeding but its always a nice thing to watch if it happens.

agreed - not bothered about breeding either, just fascinated by the behavior.

I've got a few red pebbles still sitting in my closed down 125L. If you want a couple then let me know and I'll post them. Otherwise they will just sit in my shed for years on the off chance that I MIGHT use them again.

this is what they look like

Dont know how i missed this one, the tank looks fantastic. Great video too.

I like how the fish all seem to have some of that food, whenever i drop tablet food in my tank like that, my gourami guards it, then just destroys what he doesn't eat  None of the others get a look in! lol

How did you get along with the Koralia's Tizer ?

I've set them both up and they seem to be running fine, one either end, very quiet little devices! Im finding them slightly annoying at the moment as they are attracting a few floating plants, even when submerged by 10 inches! I'll get a few pics up soon, my vallis is growing like mad. I literally cut it down to half its size just under a week ago and i already have half a dozen pieces touching the surface. Not a complaint though, im looking forward to it thickening up and laying on the surface.

Snap with the floating plants mate mine are doing the same.

How many BPS are you having to add into the tank as well mate ?

I have had a nightmare with Co2 it seems to last a max of 24-28 days. Not sure if this is god or not. Latest 2kg bottle has been running for 12 days and i have just seen the main bar (50) start to drop.

ive raised the bubble count up to about 5 a sec, i still cant achieve a nice lime colour, im not even sure its necessary as its not high tech lighting. as long as its stable is should be enough even if it stays green?
