My new bettas have arrived!!!

I got my new betta today! Adoped him from wuvmybetta. He is a BF black/orange CT. I also got a Mustard gas delta male but I don't have any good pictures of him yet.

Here are some pictures of my CT in his new tank, he's adjusting well, and getting more and more colorful! And wow, he's a PIG.

mustard gas (MG) is a coloration. i don't quite understand the many varieties, but i think they are ususally purple-ish (a little help anyone?)

a delta tail has a smooth edge, like this guy's and spreads out like a fan. a crown tail (CT) will have spikes at the ends of the fins. . this fish doesn't appear to have those and doesn't look orange/black... he is very cool looking, though!

I don't think so.... I'll have to get some better pictures of him in a few days when he is more adjusted to his new home.

I don't know much about betta types, I just know what they look like when they need to be taken home and nursed back to health. That's how I chose my boys. heh

Your new boy is really gorgeous. he's got a sort of pearly sheen - very pretty.

i am pretty sure he is a delta tail. the best way to tell is when he is flaring though!

Mg Mustartd Gas is most of the time blue and yellow.

that fish you have pictured there is a delta.

CT (crowntails) have a spikey tail like the spikes on a king or queens crown.

these are deltas

you can sees its a delta as the tailfin is curved.
