My Koi

Well at last I managed some pictures of my Koi. I will try to get some more this weekend. Sorry about the quality it was with an old Digital Camera and flash at night, don't ask why. As you can see I had trouble photographing 30" swimming around.

Wow, they look beautiful and well fed! I would love to have a Koi pond someday Do you ever hand feed them or pet them? Don't those fish live up to like 80yrs?

Some of the larger Koi will happily be hand feed and stroked but the little guys are abit more cautious and tend to charge up and grab the food and then of they zoom.

They can reach 80 years and there are reports of some reaching 200 years. But the average in a good well cared for enviroment is 40-60 years.
