My Koi ponds and Koi

Oh right, so you were in affect baby sitting it for him.

I know what you mean we were always trying to count how many goldfish we had, I think we got it pretty close as we counted aorun the 20's and we have 34 now whihc includes 12 fry i released...still got my rudd fry to go in  another 22.

Whats your fav fish at the moment?

Effectively yes, but we weren't sure who was going to keep it until recently, its kind of joint ownership, but if anyone ever did offer big money for it he would have the contacts to sell it.

At the moment my favourite fish is the new Kumonryu at 33".

oh wow they look great, justed looked them up in the book...black and white pattern and have a doitsu pattern right :) sounds like my kind of fish...Cow Print :D

Yep thats right!

Thanks Zenn. :)

Sorry, everytime i am on, i have to look at your Koi now, sorry

If you didnt know i like either big finned fish, or just plain big fish, i dont know what it is about them, but i love to look at them, that is why i am a Fishamen, not the kind that catches fish and kills them, nver could live with myself if i did that, but the kind the catches them and lets them go again to live on...

Koi are so colourful and so peaceful and lovely, especially Japanese Koi...

I'd have to agree, there is something specail about larger fish especailly Koi, the way tehy move, feed etc is amazing to watch.

Theres nothing better then looking at koi. I can sit for hours and stare into my pond

Sterlets are nice fish, very friendly and intresting to watch. :)

Which is the right name for then..

sturgeon or sterlets, got abit confused ,

or is sterlet a young one?? -_-

Well Bribones mine is currently at 35"!

interested, from what I remember I am pretty sure your fish was a Sterlet, if it is a Sturgeon of any kind then you are going to have a big 5' monster. Sterlets are the smallest members of the Sturgeon family. :)

My goodness they are fantastic ponds ryan, I am thinking of having one built for my goldfish, but its wonderful to see such healthy large fish in a pond, I know who to come to for tips when we get around to building ours :D
