My journal of my SW tank set-up

hey spanair,
have you considered parting with your damsels?
they probably were going after your clown.
just a suggestion, but maybe you could trade them in to your lfs
and get some green chromis-they are a very well tempermented damsel
that do very well(schooling fish,so try to get three or more if you can).
the tank is looking good.

Hey hyrookin, thanks for your suggestion I will give it a try this weekend and see what my lfs says. IF they can then I will trade them in, they are a bit to much for my clows. Although just the one the other one is all messed up from the bad damsel . Alive and getting better though, he just doesen't have a tail at all!. Poor thing you have to see it try to swim as he is. He always keeps him self in far from the damsel that has always been bad.

Thanks again

Hey Hyrookin - you beat me to it... I was going to suggest that too. I like green chromis too - they go a lovely irridescent colour when they are settled don't they?

Good luck J

Thanks L :D

I will give it a go, I also like the look of the green chromis , i'll miss the nice colour of my damsels though, but is all for the best :hey:

Good luck catching the damsels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p. one of them can hardly swim fast luckily. Still will see if I trade them in if I dont I wont mind but I will like to have a more peaceful fishes in my tank at the moment

Well heres the new update:

I added the phosphate remover a week ago, all water parameters are perfect.

I also bought 2 new fishes, a Moorish Idol and a Regal tang. Now i've been monitoring the moorish idol for the past month at the LFS and he has eaten there fine. Only thing is his top dorsal fin is broken, but in the last month it has grown as much as the thin fin you can see in the pics, so quite a bit. Anyways after adding him to the aquarium I fed them and he eats just fine as he has done in the past in the LFS . I hope he keeps it that way.

Oh I forgot to mention I also bought a background, makes the world of a difference to the look of the aquarium, shame it'll be covered in coral later on but for now it looks good

Thanks darling ;)

I know, no more rocks for the right side, just maybe 40 odd quids worth for now. And lots more Coral for colours. Also I'll be getting a mandarin when the tank is even more matured, a month the most. A dwarf Flame Angel and that's probably it, maybe something different to the usual fishes. They got some really nice ones, but they aren't cheap either.

My favorite fish is the morish Idol, it always has been and god I love him

Thank you for your comments, they are very apreciatted :hey:
