My guppies keep getting a hunched back and then die soon after. At first it was just the adults that got it. I thought maybe they were older than I thought. Now my fry are getting it too and I don't know what to do about it. Can anyone help?
I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with your guppies.
So we can be of help to you can you give us a few more details of your tank please. How big is the tank, how many fish, how long has it been set up, have you tested it for ammonia/nitrite/nitrate. Are you using rainwater, city water for the tank.........as many details would be really helpful.
My tank is 35gl. I have about 6-10 adults and no telling how many fry. I also have an alge eater and some ghost shrimp. The tank has been set up for almost a year now and i have tested the water and everything shows up fine. I have been using well water for the tank. I have never had this problem before in the smaller tank or when I had other breeds. The tank I have now use to have feeder gold fish, mollies, sword tails, angel fish and a few other breeds I can't remember. This is the first time this tank has had fish with this kind of sickness.
Hmmmm , sounds pretty serious i suggest u go to a pet sotre and aska worker there about the symptoms and if u do not wanna do that then u could go in the aile that the fish medication is and look for tablets that u put in there for similar symtoms. sorry that i couldnt be mroe of help , i dotn raise guppys , i raise mollys, but there both livebears and similar specices
Ok thanks. Another question thought. Is there a site or something I can go to so I can find out what the disese is call, how it starts and stuff like that?
