My Fish Room Now & The New One (Soon To Be)

this was my 1st small fish room

and i went from that to this which is my current fish room after 4 months of moving house

and now were due to move house again in the next few weeks ... we have the keys already but theres time do move slowly
and these 2 cellers are going to be my new fish rooms ... yes thats right you heard properly i did say ROOMS lol

as you can see theres alot of work to be done .... 1st step once we have moved in will be to concrete and level out the floors then the battons go up and polystyrene insulation with a damp proff barrier then boarded up and painted with bathroom paint to water proff it

not going to need to much cleaning as the polystyrene will be going over all the walls and cellings covering it all up and insulating the rooms

Tiz a lot of expense for a rented property mate, not something i would consider doing i have to say, gluck with it though!

I love cellars they ahve so much history to them. Some of my ancestors back in 1901 lived in a cellar 6 people in all 2 adults and 4 kids !

thats going to be very nice, i love cellars as well the last house i was in had a cellar good insulation they tend to stay at a constant temp

Have been discussing with the wife taht I may turn the backroom of our basement into a fish room when I get my 150 gallon next year. She is only argueing the plan because she wants to be able to look at the fish through out the day. my answer is just have more tanks so I can leave 2 in the living room .


I must say however once yer rooms are done it would be the ultimate "Man Cave" to me.
