My First Planted

lovely tank, fish and photography!! 10/10 all round :good:

I really like this tank. So tidy and pretty. You should create a journal in the planted section. I'd personally love to know more details about your setup and a journal would be perfect for that. I also enjoy the bare-gravel in the front, as I keep corydoras and their relatives. I've got 6 Brochis in my 36g and they really enjoy the extra swimming space. They are also little freight trains and sometimes damage as they plow through.

Nice tank and nice pictures.

I spy a fat clown loach  Wish i could do a mini version of your tank, i have a similar width one coming but is 20cm less in height.

glad i'm not the ony one who can see it, thought my eyes were playing tricks on me again, as i seem to be addicted to most fish with the word clown in there name

oh i need to see a pic of him/her if you can get one :good:
I would love to show you one if I ever got to see him LOL always hiding, at one stage I thought it was dead as I failed to spot it for over 6 months and then decided to some major changes on the way the plants were and there he was underneath the log lol ;) I will try

Great pics, love the shrimp and the Cuba plant.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

The Riccia was originally attached to 3 rocks and only one managed to survive, and the HC kept getting uprooted by the Clown loaches so that is nearly all gone.
I am going to try a bit more of Riccia to cover some of the gravel. Will post some photos when I do so.

Cardamine lyrata
Interested to know, have you found that this shoots out roots everywhere and looks a little unsightly? I'm considering this in a new tank but someone said they had issues with it looking like a big lump of roots and leaves which put me off...

Its not the best plant ever but for what I need its doing its job, problem is that the stems seem to rot away too easy even though the top of the plant is healthy and growing, which means it keeps getting detached from the gravel and I have to fight a constant battle of removing old steams from the water and replanting it.
Also it doesn't grow very fast.
