My First Horse Buck And Ride On The Neck

in that case, 'posting' is so much easier on the butt and legs than sitting trot!! and now that i think about it... it is a term i have heard before lol. been 12 years since i had real lessons!! And about 5-6 years since i had lessons on a dressage pony (amazing, he knew how to do flying changes by voice command so i experienced the moves without knowing how lol).

It just takes practise to get the whole posting thing, dont ride with short stirrups when your learning to post ?! as its too easy to push yourself up out of the saddle too far which means you miss a beat and end up flopping all over the place.

yeah i agree with MBOU, dont have too short a stirrup, which is easy to do when learning :)

I have a 15.2hh cob x trotter, he is only young and sitting to him is a nightmare at the minute

i hate doing a sitting trot :p it is only nice when it is a slow slow trot. i always have my stirrups to the correct length.

i dont think i have posted these yet of Angel, the horse i ride (and the reason i was riding on her neck!!). me and my friend were on a trail ride and we stopped and had lunch!!
