She had a wound on her a while ago from a fight from a male (which i thought was female but turned out wasnt).
I added salt and betta fix to the water and it cleared up.

Now its back!! it started of as what looked like fungus so i put in fungus-aid but now its spreading all over her body!!!

i've added salt, and some more bettafix.
But it doesnt seem to be working its just spreading!!

What can i do??

What meds should i use bearing in mind in live in australia and we dont really have a wide variety !!

i've grown really attached to her and i dont want her to die :(

What type of med are you giving her now? What brand name? it may help folks to know that.
Sorry that you are having this trouble...

First, I'm not an expert. But I've had the similar problems on a couple male betta's. Mine turned out to be fatal unfortunately, but were my very first fish before ANY knowledge. I also didn't try to medicate at all.

I'd suggest quarantining the sick female betta in a seperate aquarium or hospital tank (assuming equipment is available). Medicate accordingly and do 25-40% water changes every day or two. If the equipment isn't available, I would still suggest quarantining the female betta. Betta's are labyrinth's, or surface breathers. They don't need air pumps or dissolved oxygen. A solitary male can be kept happily in a 1G bowl with no equipment providing frequent water changes. I suspect a female would survive in any decent size clean container as well. See if there is anything around the house that could be used to improvise. A large glass bowl or vase perhaps? When you fill the container with water, use water from the tamnk the betta is coming from to prevent any shock. Try 25% water changes daily with appropriate meds to supplement what you remove. Hope this helps and hope for the best for your betta!
