What a lovely fish, nice and fat too! You must have a good LFS :)

It was vendor day at the market, so all the fish farm owners are there. Only trouble is actually finding what you want amid the sea of fish, as they are in this big car park, and all the fish are in bags. I must have wandered around for nearly 2 hours until I found them, and it was bucketing down with rain! Got lucky though, as they look mint, and so healthy

AA! DevotedtoDiscus has a thread with pictures of his fish market. It would make you wet the floor in excitement, really!

Your tank is looking lovely. I am so tempted to get some GBR's. I have the space for them, but I worry about my water parameters. Yours is probably perfect for them with the discus then.

awesome looking tank. id love something like this but my water is really hard and the ph is quite high(around 7.5). hear these fish are very sensitive to water?

 I am a little concerned now. DO you and your girlfriend drink the supply water as well. Just warning ya now, kids are exhausting!! :fun: :fun:

I cleaned out the sediment filter on my R/O unit the other day, and it was gross. So, no way am I ever drinking the water here. As for kids, you already told me I was old! so I am way past it.

Thanks. Sure they like soft acidic water, but it is not as difficult to sort as it is made out to be. They need a little bit more attention than most fish, but once you get the routine in place it is easy

Yeah, I'll be doing a Tom Cruise on you..........next you will be claiming I lock my girlfriend in a windowless room! "Stop banging, I told you you can come out when I need my dinner!"

Thinking about making the grey background blue. Was black before, and that made the colours stand out, but at the same time was a little aggressive. The background is a sheet of acrylic so I can easily paint it. Am thinking a dark blue
