My Complete Roma 125 Journal.

Hi Josh,

Once I saw your reply to my fishless cycle thread I popped over and read your journal. It's good to see we've got exactly the same tank and cabinet, (great minds think alike), so I'll be watching with great interest how you scape and plant up your tank. Looking good already!

JOURNAL POST

I purposely missed testing for ammonia yesterday as I knew there still wouldn't be much activity. Today it's still at 4ppm so I haven't bothered adding any more. I've only dosed household ammonia once so far so it looks like this is going to be a long, painful wait.

It will be worth it though, you'll see... ;)
 
same tank as me! :hyper:

amazon swords are going good in my tank, but not sure on the other plants.
my plants are amazon swords, columbian fern and twisted vallis, the columbian fern and twisted vallis are growing many plantlets aswell.

also with yoju stocking plan you probally could add more. 20 neons would look lush

It's nice to hear the plants are doing well for you, I've been a little unsure about the lighting but hopefully there will be no problems. Have you got any photos of your tank in some of your threads? I'll have a look in a second! :p

I can't decide if I'm having doubts about the Neons, I may look for something else. I'm scared they won't do well in a newly established tank. :unsure:

i was actually thinking of putting some on tomorrow as i have never posted any before.
my neons went in when my tank was about 6 weeks old, and have had no deaths at all so far
 
Remember to remind me when you put them on! ;)

I suppose I shall take the risk seeing as they look so nice in large numbers. :p
 
Like your hardscape, will look great planted. I've had success with various plants in my Roma's, other haven't done so well. So have you cut holes in the lid yet?

Thanks, I think I might just do as you have and let it lean open.

I really dare not cut the lid :lol: It would end up a complete mess! :p
