awww he is lovely, same as ths Sheba ad i believe ??? My boyfriend is the advertising man for Felix catfood and lilly (blue burmese) and my nephew are on the meat mulitpacks at the moment on a cats protection ad thing !

Bloo i also grew up with Siamese our lilac point was incredibly independant compared to our seal point who never wanted to do anything except sit on yr lap!

Shaka's like that and it drives me nuts sometimes ! All he wants to do is crawl up your sleave or down the front your your top or sleep on your face at night (and he's turning 6 this year)! hence sadly he's banned from the bedroom at night poor chap He's the most extreme attention hogging demanding cat I have ever come across.

Ahh poor Tom sounds like he's been through the wars and he's so young still. Did you know he had the spine problem when you got him ?

Well, I consider Turkish angoras to be part of the oriental family, eventhough they do not share ancestry with the Siamese and that line of Orientals. It seems the Turks developed their own type of wedge-faced, long-lined cat and just gave them a really great long-haired coat. In fact, the only color fault in a Turk is the presence of points, which implies a mixing of the breeds and is unexceptable. In Turkey, the standard is a white cat, but other colors are permitted outside Turkey and are often shown. Enough of the history lesson, time for cute pics.

Here is my Turk, Lily. I think I've posted the picture before, but it's always nice to post again. She's such a lovely cat.



Thanks for the invite to show pictures Dulce, I'm glad you don't mind the hijacking. Orientals, for all their demands, are the only cats I see myself with. They are just so smart.

Bloo - we knew about toms deformation, he was born an only kitten and his deformation knocked him out for being shown so we got him @ 6 weeks, the only time they ever played with him was the guy playing with his feet at the computer so he was a bit timid at first but such a character !


i do favour orientals they have such strong characters - more so than most of the people i know !

its not hijacking its nice to be able to look through them all on one thread !!
