I just read this. Can you just crush tropical flakes and put it on a toothpick and stick it in the water? (I didn't do that I'm just asking.)
I suppose you could do that, but they really need meatier, heavier food with more protein to help them grow strong. I'm not sure if they would even eat the flakes. In any case, if you're crushing flake, you dont' need to stick it in with a toothpick. Just crumble it and drop it in. You should really look into getting some brine shrimp eggs as advised. I've seen them at wal mart, I think.
Also I do know quite alot about bettas for your information.
and whats wrong with the CORRECT advice I give on here.
Not all the advice you give on here is correct... For example..
"You know all veil tails are already at least a year old and the fry are usually ugly since their from a lfs."
"The last betta I didn't mean that veil tail bettas were ugly I meant the babys would be ugly because they will be all dull colors since they were lfs fish."
"People at big chain stores don't know squat they just hire people that are willing to scoop a fish out of a tank and feed it."
So either all of you stop breathing down my neck or I'll put on my sig that bettas LOVE 1/2g bowls and they don't need but a 50% water change once every 2 weeks.
Your threats are unnecessary and uncalled for.
