So a change of plans. The dude'd 55 Gallon broke, so now I'm buying his 36x18x18 50 Gallon breeder tank. Shorter in height and length, but much wider.

wider will be good. With more floor space, you can get a nice shoal of cories for the bottom.

Ya. I'm deciding which ones to get. I wish there were some nice, vibrant ones

I will be picking it up sometime next week. My dad works in the city next to the Tank's owner, so he'll pick it up after he's done.

I havent seen any bright cories, except maybe emerald ones. What color subsrate are you going for? If you do black sand, a shoal of albino cories would look great. Not to mention the fact that they are very active and just simply adorable!

I had some albinos in my ten gallons (they are in the 40g now) I have black sand in my ten gallon and the albinos stood out very vell. You couldn't miss them. Now in the 40g my gravel (smooth gravel) is a light brown and white, and you don't notice the cories very well.
