Moving Tadpoles

i have today contacted r.s.p.c.a/ defra/ seascape it is not illeagal to move tadpoles from private ponds in fact seascape tell me it is better for them. but it becomes a problem if you try to remove them from public ponds / streams / or rivers these have some restrictions depending on where you are located and carries a risk of contamination. i hope this is a help to you all thanks to the people who got back to me terry

I read something about this yesterday, feeding tadpoles to fish and people saying it was illegal to remove them from your Garden pond! Well it certainly contradicts those who said it was illegal but nice to get the FACTS

anyone with any doubt about stuff like this should definately contact DEFRA for advice, and where applicable, they'll issue licences covering you
