Very nice. Who have quite the collection of cories. How many tanks are you running? What sizes of tanks, what species of cories do you keep together, etc.

last time i counted there were 28 tanks up and running, that was a while ago.. may be up to 30 now.. and most of my tanks are species specific cory tanks for breeding. most are five and ten gallon tanks

Where are you getting all these cories?

haha... i have met some great people up here in canada with as much of a love for these little guys as i have. so over time i have put together this collection. some shipped in.. others requests in lfs's.. and others in our local aquarium society. it is all about having the right connections i guess.. ;)

and lychas... just give it time and you will have some great corys in your collection. all it takes is a little money and a big addiction to corys.. lol

Well, all I can say is that you have a great collection. I am working on mine. I had a good start and sold a bunch of them to get the loaches I have. I am steadly getting the collection back up with having the Brochis splendens, Corydoras arcuatus, Corydoras Albino and Bronze Aeneus, Corydoras fowleri, Corydoras leucomelas, Corydoras semiaquilus, Corydoras sp. cf. aeneus(orange_stripe), and Corydoras trilineatus in my collection. I dont have a collection like yours, but im working on it :D

I have a great LFS to help me :good:

boy i love them C aeneus laser green!
boy they are gonna be in my list for my 30" tank.
beautiful corys!!

Hi madattiver :)

I thoroughly enjoyed looking at your excellent photos of your very lovely fish.

You are having remarkable success breeding them too! I'm especially impressed with your little green laser fry. Did you do anything unusual to encourage them to spawn?

hey Inchworm,

I am glad you enjoyed my picture collection of my corys... and there will be more to come in the near future as i have the photo bug.

Adn yes, it does seem that i am on a hot streak with my corys spawning for me. I guess all my patience over the few eyars that i have had some of them is finally paying off. The green lasers i have actually had for close to 3 years now and i didn't do anything different then i do to any of my other corys. All water changes with my corys are done with cool water straight from the tap with the added water conditioner and i guess they eventually got sick of me trying to get them to spawn and they did it. i had to do a double take when i walked past the tank the first time as i saw eggs on the glass. as for preparing them to spawn i had been giving them ample amounts of bloodworms and earthworm sticks from kensfish.com. soon he will be paying me endorsments the way i have been spreading his name around as i can't say i have seen anything work as good of a food for keeping my corys healthy and in top breeding condition as his earthworm sticks. i think the key with them was patience.. they have a tank of their own and don't have to fight for food or space.

but, how long have you had your lasers?? and how big are they??? they will eventually spawn for you and once they start, you won't be able to stop them as any other aeneus type.

I am assuming most of the cories you have are wild caught, correct? Im wondering if my new wild caught cories will eat those earthworm sticks....Right now they are just eating frozen bloodworms. I bet they would like those sticks too. The prices are bad, so its probably worth the try...
