I bought a Miniature koi for my 40l tank and i was wondering if there are any dietary requirements for them as it has rejected flake food and pellets please help!!!

hmmmm do you know exactly what species you have, if your referring to koi carp they aren't a minutre variety, they are just babies and will need a nice big pond long term, however plenty of tropical fish com in 'koi' varieties with similar markings so it could be one of them.

if you don't know the species name then can you take a picture of them for us and we'll ID it for you

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a miniture koi.

It sounds like you have just been sold a young regular koi carp, which unfortunately require massive ponds with good filteration, a 40l tank will not last the fish long at all and I would strongly advise you to return it.

Also worth mentioning is that the myth that fish only grow to the size of the aquarium is untrue, unless the fish is stunted, which ends in serious health problems and greatly shortened life.
