Go check out the adoption thread and see if there's anything you like... if not, I'm sure there are plenty of every colour to go around and you can just tell me which you like. :)

The trick to getting good pics is to take 100+ at a sitting... I probably get about 1 good photo out of every 20 I take
My camera is auto focus, so it's pretty difficult to get it to focus on the exact fish I'm trying to photograph, but if I try enough eventually I'll nail that perfect shot

10 weeks and things are starting to get interesting. Colours continue to develop, as do personalities... gosh, how could you not love these guys?
I found a couple more freaks in one of the tanks in the storage room today and moved them to the indoor tank so I can keep a closer eye on them. As you may have noticed, basically all the fry are red... but these two completely lack any hint of red. They're both kinda a pale grey/blue colour. Very interesting and pretty if you ask me, but then again, I tend to like what my mother calls "boring" colours :). I'll be keeping at least one of these beauties.

You can see that the pattern of iridescence is the same as the normal fry, with clear finnage where the red would normally be

No red even when flashlighted, and pretty large fry at that, so I don't think they'll be developing any

Full tank shot... yes, it's in front of my messy junk closet. Not like I can reach back there to clean it with the tank in the way :p

Random group of fry, all bunched in the front begging for food

Sorry guys, it's not food... just a smudge of extra hand lotion that was stuck on the side of my finger when I wiped a water drop off the glass

I like the lighter looking ones too. I would love the top one in that first pic, if you decide not to keep it. Or if you come across more like it. I don't care which sex. Females would be better, but I have the space for males too. I have a copper male that carries dt. I would love to get a female that color to breed with him.

I would also like the one on the bottom left of this pic.

Keep posting pics. I would like to get 4-6 from you. Pearly greenish ones, or even pinkish ones, are so cute.

That one brownish-no red boy, ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!! Oh my is he cute!

I'm Posting again, because I think this thread dropped off before my Adoption request was even seen. It's a couple of reply's up.
THANKS

Nope, I saw it ManyFISH4Me :p
You didn't tell me the sex you wanted or if you mind ones with faults or not though?

The sex doesn't really matter. I am most interested in the color. No so much interested in deformaties, only because I would like to keep my breeding options open. I see that you added pics to the mutant thread, I'm going to post there too.

 omg!! they're so coooot! I *love* the lotion pic, they're such little chow-hounds!

I also have a question, kindof a stupid question... I noticed in your 3rd pic, you have the same heater as me. Is that a 2-5g heater? I use it in Maui's 4g, and its being all spazzy today. I keep having to unplug it because it gets up to 80*, which is too warm for him. Are there any secrets to keeping it constant? :dunno: I havent used this type of heater before...

Yeah, it's made for 2-5g (I think it's 50 watt). I've never used these heaters in anything smaller than a 10 gallon, so I don't have any experience with that... My father owns an air conditioning/heating business so we have central air and heat, meaning our house stays at 78 degrees all year 'round and I only need a weak heater to bump the temp up another couple of degrees :)
