I wish he was officially done but I think there is still a chance he will be allowed to play again depending on exactly how the plea goes tomorrow, how he makes restitution and possibly how involved the NFL players union gets involved once he is out of jail. He has not admitted to any gambling, only that he backed the operation and that he had a hand in the deaths of the dogs. The gambling is the key as that carries a life-time ban. From the letter that the commissioner wrote, it sounds as if he is saying that just MV's association with the gamblers is in violation of the NFL policy and of course, everything he did violates the personal conduct rules.
My hope is that they don't let him off with a plea that doesn't include everything that his co-defendants have already told on him. He should have to plead guilty to everything they say he did or that their investigation says he did.
Edit: I saw one article (can't find it now) that estimated that this whole thing could cost Vick over $100 million just in lost future salary. That's not including lost revenue from his contract with Nike and other endorsements ($50 million), fines (up to $250,000), lawyers fees (substantial Im sure) and restitution. And the Falcons have already said they will try to recoup the $22 million in bonuses they have already paid him but the article said they may have a hard time getting it back because the clauses in it that allow them to recoup money involve NFL policy, drug abuse and personal conduct and possibly leave him some outs.
