Meet Mika

she's so beatiful girl...cool pix. Thanks

scary isn't it bloo

we had new windows fitted last year, the upstairs ones are bottom openers, we quickly realised the cats could get out onto teh windows sill, never thought they'd jump out though.

had the bedroom window open at night, got up the next morning and miss mittens was nowhere to be found. I knew she was in the night before, the door was locked and we were so confused about how she'd got out. took me a while to twig she must have jumped from the bedroom window onto the pavement below

she didn't come home for about 2/3 days I thought she must have broken a leg or something and crawled off into a bush to die  strolled in a few days later without a scratch on her or a care in the world!

they are both very cute - mika looks like a leopard cub.....and like a huge big handfull but no doubt she is a bundle of joy....
the other cat is very beautiful...i dont think i have ever seen a cat that looks so shiny.....and wise...lol
:good: deffinately POTM material and the photos you took are superb!!!! wonderfully taken....

and the other cat, looks divine and gorgeous.....
the photos are excellently taken, eg the view and lighting are superb......deff POTM material!! :good:

Speaking of being demanding - they are indeed  she nearly gave me heart failure tonight and I was literally in tears. She decided (for the shear fun of it ) to lunge herself out of a (very high) first floor window - ala Superman style - onto a concrete floor  I nearly died with fright. Long story - suffice to say, the window was open a mere centimetre, but she managed to squeeze out somehow. I saw her on the ledge outside and as I called her name - she took the plunge of death! I absolutely could not believe what just happened and freaked out. Luckily I had a friend with me, and he ran downstairs to assess the damage (whilst I'm hysterical upstairs). A minute later they come in - her bounding away like a spring lamb - strutting her cute little tail in the air and jumping around like a jack-in-the-box :grr: (entirely unharmed 100%) well, that's one life gone.
Suffice to say: I was not amused. Lesson learnt!

Time for the big, loud "I TOLD YOU SO!!!". Suicidal escape artists, each and everyone.

Mine aren't quite so bad, they just like to crawl underneath impossible-to-reach places and collect dust bunnies. But I don't let them out.

llj

Thanks for the well wishes and compliments everyone! :fun:

You did, you did ........ it really didn't sink in

Over the past few days she's ripped her lovely toys to pieces, destroyed my orchid, nearly been trodden to death a number of times when I thought she was safely playing in the room next door, when suddenly there's a fluff ball under my feet!
She also shattered an enormous glass jug onto the tile floor - got such a fright that she hid for 10 minutes behind the sofa. Poor little petal. It's such a hard and dangerous life being an ickle kitten.
But she's such a sweetpea and I love her to bits

sound like Bagheera only less destructive.

has she been swimming in the fish tank yet?
has she fished in the fish tank yet?
has she 'helped' with the water changes?
has she tipped over a half bucket of water yet?

oooo you have so much to look forward to

oooo you have so much to look forward to
 oh geez (thanks!) I have that to look forward to when she's big enough to reach the fishtank no doubt. At the moment she's way too small to jump up onto the tank, but no doubt when she's larger she'll try when I have the lid open doing water changes.
Shaka did that once actually - his front paws hit the water as he jumped into the tank but did the most amazing acrobatic mid-air turn once he realised that the lid wasn't on!
He's not a water baby, but she will be. She's already dipping all her toys into the waterbowl to make them nice and juicy - so I constantly have little wet pawprints across the kitchen floor.
Luckily I have a python so no buckets to trip over. But I'm sure there's a string of other hazards I just have not yet identified! (sigh)

my brothers cat jumped out of a 2 story window earlier this year into tons of bushes and was completely fine but was really scared becasue he was backing up and just fell out without meaning to  the things cats do

i think i'm in love  . more photo please.

the thing about cat jumping off buildings- ( i maybe wrong) i've heard that if a cat jump out of a 13th floor, he'll have more chance to survive than if he jump out of the 10th floor, it has something to do with their body turning in midair, so that they can land onto all fours. is just some scratchy useless info i store in my brain. i'm sure someone else will have the actual facts to say that i'm completely wrong. :p

i heard that they survive 10 floors and lower but die in 11-20 but live in falls from 21+ because they have enough momentum and time to land on their face. they break the impact on the face but also break their face.

Bloo, what camera are you using to take those lovely pictures AND can we have some more please?

Seffie x

Thanks Tucan! :good: I'm working on it.

Thanks Seffie :D I should actually have given credit to the photographer - a friend of mine with a Canon EOS 20D (the same camera I usually use myself to take all my own photos) but the real difference is the professional lens - and I'm not sure which one he used here I'm afraid.
I'm just waiting for the weather to improve again to take more pics! It's nice having her out in the garden to take photos and I'll definitely have some more by next weekend. She is such a little princess - and her spots are really developing and opening up now. I can't wait for her registration papers to come through so that I can enter her in a couple of shows.

A friend of mine popped over the weekend before last to come and see her - and she snapped a few pics on her mobile phone so quality isn't the best and Mika also looks a fair bit darker than she "really" is - but you get the idea ;)

Here are a few of her getting up to mischief!

Chasing ice cubes!
