Thank you
kiwifish (I've been saving for a long
long time!) .
Phishy25 (well, it's a funny story that - and of course there's a only and only MIKA she can be named after. It's a cute story though that I'll briefly share: as I was driving up to Peterborough to meet her for the first time, I had the radio on. As I was driving into the breeders village, the song "Grace Kelly was on the radio. It was the first time I heard it, but I loved it so much, that (despite the excitement of meeting my kitten for the first time) I pulled my car over to write down some of the words in the song to google when I'm back home. To find out who the artist is, etc. Needless to say, I found out that it was Mika - and instantly fell in love with his most recent album. Hence her name. Lame I know, but totally apt
seffieuk (trust me - it was excruciatingly hard! I'm still dreaming about a blue-eyed snow
but that's another day/year).
geo7x (thank you - I do love my exotic animals. That's not to say that I love mixed breeds any less - it's a difficult decision, no doubt about that.
Speaking of being demanding - they are indeed
she nearly gave me heart failure tonight and I was literally in tears. She decided (for the shear fun of it ) to lunge herself out of a (very high) first floor window - ala Superman style - onto a concrete floor
I nearly died with fright. Long story - suffice to say, the window was open a mere centimetre, but she managed to squeeze out somehow. I saw her on the ledge outside and as I called her name - she took the plunge of death!
I absolutely could not believe what just happened and freaked out. Luckily I had a friend with me, and he ran downstairs to assess the damage (whilst I'm hysterical upstairs). A minute later they come in - her bounding away like a spring lamb - strutting her cute little tail in the air and jumping around like a jack-in-the-box
(entirely unharmed 100%) well, that's one life gone.
Suffice to say: I was
not amused. Lesson learnt!
