Maximum gestation perdio for guppies?

I've had 2 females for alsmot 4 weeks now and they were big when I got them and the spot was black. Of course they are even bigger now. I know they usually give birth after 28 days but what's the maximum wait for fry to be born?

The leeway either side is a matter of days.

All of my females held off from giving birth the first month I had them. I don't know if they were just waiting to settle in, but they were all a couple of weeks pregnant when I got them and they held on for a good 5 to 6 weeks.

After that though they settled into steady birthing cycles of between 21 and 28 days.

Apparently it's not uncommon for guppies to delay giving birth until they are completely happy with their surroundings and water conditions.

The usual gestation period for guppies is 28 days, but sometimes it's longer.
