Martha just keeps growing!

I just can't get over how fast this fish grows! We've only had her for two months and she has almost doubled in size!

Anyhow, here's the latest shots. She's just had shrimp for dinner :

This is Martha with her pleco tankmate - he cleans up after her...

She HAS grown. It seems like I was just watching that video of her and her ship. Wow. It's cause of all the good foods you guys feed her, I've never seen a more spoiled puffer!

hehe.. You should see how she "begs" for her breakfast in the morning - she rushes backwards and forwards across the tank to get our attention. Then when she sees us bring out the jug with her defrosting prawn in she gets sooo excited!

LOL, I just measured her and she's about 6 inches. She was 2 inches when we bought her (two months ago) and a lot skinnier.

For comparison's sake, here she is in her original terracotta house:

The terracotta pot isn't in her current tank, but Sir is going to pop it in so we can take a shot of Martha next to it now.

She's a Fahaka puffer. Also known as the Nile puffer. She could grow up to 18", but will probably max out at about 15". Fahakas are said to be the most aggressive freshwater puffers and must be kept singly or with tankmates that are big enough and tough enough to cope.

And she's pure freshwater..

I think we need another video....

Yes, she certainly is photogenic

Currently she is in a 60 gallon Juwel tank, we will be moving her up to at least a 120 gallon in the next few months.

Wow! Martha is looking amazing...those stripes and colors! She's growing up so fast. Glad to see that even though she can no longer fit in her galleon, she still puts it to good use.

Yeah, I'm thinking we're gonna have to speed up future tank plans too!

We haven't been able to come up with a name for the pleco yet. I usually don't have a problem naming fish, but I'm having trouble with this one. I just call him "pleccy weccy", hehe..
