I am interested to know what camera and lens is being used.. those are beautiful pictures with lots of color.

Quick detective work :shifty: .

Canon EOS 450D DSLR, with a 90mm Tamaron macro lens?

Could be wrong though :fun: .

Thanks for the comments guys. The camera is a Canon 450d with a Tamron macro lens attached
My basic understanding of the pits on fish is they are sensory organs used to detect the fishes prey and predators.
Have you ever wondered why your fish dont constantly swim head first in to the tank glass? Its because these pits tell them that there is a solid structure there.
The fish pictured lives in 'blackwater' this is water which is stained dark brown with tannins, so it makes sence for the fish to not have to rely on sight.

yep three fingers you are right.

they are amzing shots of a fantasic fish love the detail and colour
