Hey all,
I made a post about a sickly corydoras that died out of the blue. Another one is showing similar symptoms. Super weird thing in the underside.

Any idea what that "chest hole" might be?

Is the stomach sunken in?

It looks like it from the photo but hard for me to be certain.

Sunken in stomach can be a sign of internal parasites, bacterial or at worst, fish TB.

Yea, the stomach is super sunken. How do I deal with it?

If one fish has this internal parasite then it’s likely other livestock may get this as well.

So you should treat the whole tank if that is the case but without being more certain am reluctant to recommend what treatment as am not that clued up on meds and stuff.

Hope a member or a mod who has more knowledge on meds may be able to help out.

Can all the fish and my tank get those things?
Edit: just read your post. thanks

Thanks. I have no idea what it is :/, what should I do?
I don't know hon, I'm sorry. I can't suggest what to do since I don't know what it is. Just hoping Colin or someone else will know and can recommend something.

Remind me, have you treated the tank for anything recently? Do you have meds of any kind in stock?

I guess this why people de worm and quarantine huh. Weird thing is that my first cory died like this before any additions, how do parasites work? There has been a sort of weird film that bubbles seem to get caught in at the top of my tank. I always wash my hands really well so it's not oil or lotion. It's been around for about a month. I don't have any meds, and I haven't treated.

Found a older thread about sunken stomachs, Wilder was one of the foremost knowledgable members this forum had about fish illnesses and diseases so what she does not know is not worth knowing.

Might be useful to have a read of it just to give you some ideas about meds perhaps.

I have a ton of school work but I'm going to call the store to see if they have it. Sera nematol, hopefully this kicks it in the butt. What a drag.
