Hello,
I am new here, however I am looking for some advise and help for my (possibly) female Betta. I got her in a pet store about a Month ago and she had a deformed face and a injury at her mouth. She is currently in a 15 Gallon tank with some Red cherry shrimp, I change the water weekly. Over the last week she showed a white spot at her eye, it looked like a fungal infection so I treated her for it, the spot got smaller however I checked up on her today and it looks like the side of her face is slowly falling off. I am not sure what caused it as I never had that happen before to any of the Bettas I had previously. She is very active and eats just fine regardless of her face not looking alright.
I feed her dried bloodworms and on rare occasions frozen ones as well. Next to that she also get's occassionally get's Premium Color Plus - s from a German brand although not much.
I treated her on seperate occassions over the last two weeks with Sera Baktopur against Mouth- and fin rot as well well as bacterial infections and Sera Mycopur against fungus and parasites in the skin and gills (It is a German brand)

I have some pictures of her now and with the previously stated infections/injuries:

My thoughts: it’s possible it’s some kind of fungal illness. However if she eats fine and is swimming not showing any signs of illness than what can I say. Usually the fish behavior is an easy way to tell what is the problem. I have never heard of a fishes face falling off but it doesn’t sound good. Keep the water warm and at a steady temperature, keep the tank clean, feed her nutritious food, that is all I can suggest. I’ve never had this happen to any of my bettas
