Hi Guys and Girls

I have come home to find both lights on my tank non-operational.... :( Ive press the switch and changed sockets and fuses but no joy.
I have spoken to the shop i got the tank from and they say the earliest they can do anything is Monday. I just wanted to find out if the fish would be ok without lights for possibly 4 days or so?

The best i can do is leave the curtains open so the sunlight gets in but not sure if its enough.

Thanks in advance

if you don't have live plants then it shouldn't be a problem. You can replace the bulbs...that might help.

same just happened to my 125 jewel tank as well. I had spare lights, as I run a high WPG tank but it was not the bulbs. The whole unit had to be replaced. took 5 days to get a replacement.

Do you have a spare bulb to test the tubs are not at fault?

thanks guys!! that's reassuring. im pretty sure its not going to be the tubes themselves as both have gone at the same time but ya never know.

Think the Juwel lighting system is known for having problems......

Yep my jewel lights packed up last weekend staretd blowing fuses, a F O C replacement under warrenty was due in yesterday so took my unit in Tues afternoon,( worried my oscar would do a steve Mc queen on me) anyway bless jewel they sent the paper work but no lights luckally my supplier did'nt send the old one back so at least I can keep the tank covered, but I have no plants and some natural daylight so my tank should be OK for a week
