I currently have a community tank as shown in my signature. It has been running for 5 1/2 months and I think the time is right to try to go with live plants. After doing some research into what I have a couple ways I can go. I would also like some type of night light also. For my size tank (30" long) I have found 55w and 65w fixtures. Will this be enough for plants requiring moderate lighting? That's about 2 watts/gallon which from my research should be enough. Correct me if I am wrong. For the moon light I can go with either an LED setup or have a double strip with one of the bulbs being an actinic or other blue light. Any recommendations either way? LED would be much cheaper but would it provide the same affect?
