Less Than 4 Weeks Away Till The Premiership Starts

We are top of the league, I said we are top of the league

Well it's not going quite as I expected so far :hyper:

Who'd have thought United would have one of their worst starts ever? and Chelski dropping points early on :shout: Spurs look to be in chaos and Arsenal look good.

As I thought Voronin looks like a quality signing and Torres looks to have hit the ground running. A mate of mine said that it's OK him scoring against the little teams like Derby, but what about the big boys? He forgot the class goal (that should have been match winner  ) against Chelsea  Pennant is finally winning me over, in fact the most dissapointing player for me so far in the Liverpool squad is Kuyt, he's working his nuts off as always, but if he had a pair of shooting boots he'd be the top scorer.

I'm cautiously optomistic about finishing better than 3rd now. I know we have the best start to the season in that we play all the big teams (Chelsea, ManU, Spurs & Arsenal) at home first and if we keep winning at Anfield, we will still be in with a decent chance come the turn of the year when our players should be fitter than the rest due to Rafa's rotation policy. Still not sure we've got enough experience to win it this season, but I think we could be close :hyper: I don't know who'll win it if we don't, probably Chelski

Sadly I also think we'll struggle in the Champions League this season  We have what I would consider a fairly easy group and I think we'll get through, but I don't know if we'll get any further than that. I actually think Utd or Chelsea could win this season  Despite the hype I don't think Barcelona will win, the winners will be either English or possibly Italian again.

Arsenal are looking pretty good so far-dispite the exit of Henry. I see a top 4 finish for us no problem. Hopegully Vengar will sign soon.
Liverpool seem to have a real chance to win the league this year- good team seem very solid in all areas.
Heres my predictions
1. chelsea
2.liverpool
3.man utd
4.arsenal
5.blackburn

My last prediction was way off (wasn't it Arfie)

1. Liverpool (I think the belief is there)
2. Arsenal (Young squad on the up but just not there yet)
3. Chelsea (up their own asses)
4. Manchester United (bad start Tevez and Saha not good enough)
5. Everton (Moyes could be a dark horse this time around)
6. Newcastle (Trying to get it right)
7. Blackburn. (Good battling side this season)

I was going to include Manchester City but after seeing last weekend's game I feel they were all over the place and Schmichael is not the keeper is father was and never will be, His positioning was abisimal and they will leak goals.

It's interesting that ManU fans think that Liverpool have the best chance  Quite a few of my mates are scum fans :p and on Sunday 2 of them sent me texts saying "congratulations on winning the league" and "they may as well give you the trophy now" and another 2 with similar comments today :D I think that's wishful thinking, because it's been so long since we did win it, you've all forgotten that you hate us, but because Chelski and Arsenal have been winning leagues recently you can't abide the thought of either of them winning again.

Personally, I can't see whay Man U fans are that down in the dumps  Granted it's been a poor start, but Tevez is world class I wish we'd managed to get him. Saha is OK and coming back to fitness, Shrek will be back soon and Ronaldo's ban ends next week, so your full team will be back again, along with Ronaldo2 (Nana ;) ) and you'll be challenging for a Uefa spot before too long

I really think any of the "big 4" could win and as it now stands the rest could be in any order, I really want it to be Liverpool obviously  but I really want to see a title race (unless the alternative is us walking away with it

I think Man City was a fluke start, there is one every few years, living where I do and working with loads of DeeDars in the past, I remember Wednesday leading the league one year, when they went something like 8 games unbeaten at the start. I think it's unfair to compare Kasper to his old man, he was one of the best of all time and at utd in his prime but his son is still a baby and 10 years away from being in his prime.

The team that I think will eventually come on strong is the Barcodes, Big Sam will get them sorted and they could well end up in Europe.
