Would leopard danios be the reason for the rips in my guppies tails? i have 6 danios, 2 gourami and 3 guppies just wondering where the damage to the tails came from.

Well danios are known fin nippers and it's likely that it was them. If you have any sharp decorations they may also be the culprits.

thanks is there any way to stop this easily?

Well if your tank is understocked you could try upping the school. If you don't already have a school of at least 5 or 6 the nipping may be due to that. This will also spread aggression between each other instead of tank mates.

its a 60L tank and i have 6 danios, 3 guppies and 2 dwarf gourami.

Yes, my inclination is to up the school as well. Danios also generally tend to be fast swimmers and enjoy a good amount of swimming space. Is the tank long as apposed to tall?

the tank is longer than it is tall. would a strong current help them, i adjusted the filter because the guppies were struggling with the current.

thanks.

Current might help, but upping the school a little will do more. Just needs perhaps two more individuals.
