Lda033

Wow 612 litres is huge... Sounds like you have lots of nice fish though.

What rate has your LDA033 been growing at?

We'd only had her for less than two months, she was only a bit smaller when we got her. Not growing too fast at the moment, she is done with the fast "childhood" growing and is starting to be a teenager, so she has slowed down much. I'm only expecting few centimeters during this year, it will probably take two or three years for her to reach her full size...

That's me with my bigger tank lol. :D Can't see Polka-Dot at this picture though, but our emerald cichlid is more than obvious... :p

Wow that is some tank, it looks gorgeous!! Yeh I am not expecting mine to grow too quickly either. Cant wait until it does though.

Thank you. ^^

Wow, you got yours for only 32 pounds? I paid 50 euros for mine and it was cheap! :D

Some plecos, like green spot pleco L200, costs from 70 to 120€ in here. O___o

 wow I thought they were expensive here lol. How much would an L046 Zebra be over there? Looking around 120-140 pounds here

A bit cheeper, 100-130 euros, but it depends on the store though. It's kind of rare to find anyway without making a specific order asking for it. We are planning to get L200, too, but not just yet, since we don't have the extra money, and the weather is so freaking cold (-25 celsius today) that I wouldn't even buy any fish to take back home...

Not seen an L200 here for a while. We seem to have an overload of Zebras though. I dont blame you not buying fish in -25, that is mighty cold. I bet it costs a lot to warm you house / tank. Do you ever have a problem with it being open top?

Not really, tanks lose some water even when having the glass one. The lights of mine help keeping the water a bit more warmet, though. :D

Houses in Finland are quite different to british, we have strong walls with warming fillings and double windows, sometimes even three windows. :D Two tanks and all the equipment cost some money monthly ofcourse due to using so much electricity.

Ah I meant with fish jumping out, not through condensation. My cardinals like jumping out of my little tank if I leave the lid off. Mind you my larger cichlids seem to know better when I take the top off my big tank so I guess yours are the same. I am going shopping tomorrow and will buy melon for my LDA033. She is currently eating muscles.

So far nothing has jumped out, even though people say siamese algae eaters may do that. o_O But, of course, we are not getting anything that are real jumpers, such as butterflyfish. :p

We may get lid glasses done someday, that tank didn't have any when we got it. But we won't find any ready, so we need to have them cut the glass for us.
