After installing 2 grow bulbs for my 20g. long tank and leaving for the weekend, I returned to find my tank carpeted with algae. I went to my local pet store and picked up a siamese algae eater because my common plec. was just ignoring my algae problem. This fish is very active and acts like a lawn mower in controlling my carpet algae problem. My sand substrate covered with this algae looks like a golf course after i put in the siamese algae eater  He is not aggressive towards any of my tankmates including an angel, dwarf gouramis, bumblebee goby, guppy, tetras, endlers livebearer, shrimp. I would recomend him to anyone suffering from this carpet algae problem.

this is off your topic but does your puffer get along good eith your other fish? I am getting a 20 gal and i wanted to add a puffer to my tank but there aggressive

There is a very big difference between a Chinese Algae Eater and a Siamese Algae Eater!
