Has anyone had expieriance with the Marina S10 Power Filter? I want to get it for my Fluval Chi, i like it because it has adjustable flow control (for the betta, in case current is too strong) and it has a sponge covering on the intake so no shrimplet could get sucked in. Yeah, since it was still under warrantee, they just gave me a new one and synced my data via iCloud.

Not sure about the filter, i have the tetra whisper submersinle filter on my betta tank, and it dosent produce a whole lotta flow. Mines also a 5 gallon, but its the Marineland Crescent. Nice tank, and ive got it planted. Cant wait till the plants grow im.

See, that's the conondrum...I need a decent flow for carpeting plants, but I can't have a stronge flow that would hinder the betta. So that's why I like the adjustable flow on this thing...

i deflec the flow from my 2 filters at the back wall and agiainst each other for my betta tank, there's hardly any disturbance

I heard those filters worked REALLY good. If I ever got a tank, I'd get a filter just like that one. I've always had an eye on that brand of filter.

Why dont you just get a 5 gallon tank for a betta?
