Ok got two khulie loaches last week, but they are not (I dont think). They are the exact same but with no yellow. I have kept khulie loaches b4 and loved them, but as I said these are coloured different, are roughly 3" long and dissapear into the gravel with just the tip of the head or tail showing (when lights are on), is this normal as my old ones did not do this.

Jon

maybe the wrong area, but the post I was just reading about khulie loaches was here

Not all have yellow but I don't know about the burying behaviour. If they look exactly like a khulie but for the missing yellow, they probably are.

there are black kuhlis who are, well, black. and burrowing is quite normal behavior for kuhlis.

ok ta, but I looked at black khulie's and they had less but still some yellow, these have 0, Zero, Ziltch, None. do you have a pic of black khulie with no yellow? Pretty sure they are what they were sposed to be but cant find any examples on the net.

Jon

There are actually several species of Kuhli Loaches. It sounds like you have Pangio javanicus or the Black Kuhli Loach. This species has no yellow or other coloured bands. :)

Ok MAM and Ryan, you are correct from the link MAM put up its them all right. When i first googled black khulie it came up with a pic just like a regular khulie but with much broader black bands but still some yellow.

Thanks

Jon
