the reason why you don't see them eating is because they are nocturnal. Also, i have read in books that you are supposed to feed nocturnal fish at night (makes sense).
thanks guys would have replied earlier but have been away over night.
One of my problems (not really a problem just one of the many dilemas of fishkeeping i guess) is that i have tiger barbs and platy's so if you toss the food in from the top its gone before ever getting the chance to hit the bottom.
so i have taken to employing the use of a feeding tube i.e a piece of tube which you place in the water and drop the food, into thus ensuring it reaches the desired spot on the bottom, but its not long before my blind cave tetra and the rest of my middwater fish home in on it.
as for the khuli's being nocturnal, i had read that they are infact crepuscular which would mean the come out to platy at twilight. so i have been using low level lighting jsut after normal feeding time, i see them creep ou from under cover but never catch them chowing down
anyone know any food that would not appeal to much to the rest of my fish
p.s i also have clown loach
