juwel units come in both T8 and T5 flavours. depending on age, i think.

Are the bulbs universal fitting between the two?

No. sorry. T8 is one inch. T5 is 5/8 of an inch.

Ah ok, only reason I ask is that the tubes I have are high-lite ones which I thought were T5 ones. Never simple is it

Well my new bulb arrived today and they work!!

Just got to seal the ballast back in now and wait 48 hours

The ballasts in both of my juwel light units packed in. I couldnt find a way to get into the light unit so I cut a big hole in the top of it and removed the ballast. Ive now got my lights powered from external arcadia units
