Just Got Rid Of His White Spot But Whats He Got Now?

hi all my betta recently got white spot ive been treating him whith white spot cure since and im happy to say its all cleared up but he still seems down and just sits on top of his leaf at top of tank hardly moves ever or eats his scales have all lost alot of colour and his fins look as if they have rotted at the ends is this just the after effects of white spot or is this some thing else?

oh no! there not iver red or black just seem to be rotted away, they just look abit torn and shreded. my cammera is #### so cant get a good pic of him i did try erlia

he might have caught them on something in the tank and ripped them then? check any ornaments or fake plants buy running some tights over them - if they snag, then it's no good for a betta.

only has real plants in there. but just got back from work had a close look at him and HIS fins do kinda look black on the ends as you surgested
how ever he has realy picked up tonight, he's been swimming around loads and even swimming rite up to his snail that he aint bothered with since i baught him and blowing bubbles at it and when the snail streches it's tenticals out towards him he darts at it lol but as slow as snails are they can be quick when they want to be lol so Rhyu cant catch him fortunatly. they live realy well together unless the snail insist on trying to reach out for Rhyu.

how big is the tank...you should do a big waterchange everyday(like a total of 75-80%...either all at once or severeral small ones a day)...finrot can often be helped with just very clean water...if it looks like it gets worse, get an antibacterial med for FINROT.

My Betta had what I class as the worst case of whitespot ever. (There is a thread here somewhere with pics). Once he was cured of that, he seemed to look a bit shredded in the fins. I kept treating with a copper based treatment (Called Ichinex) and that seemed to help that.....He seemed to come fine in about a week.

Lora can you believe he did?
He's as happy and healthy as ever now. Doesn't even look like the same fish.
Now he happily parades around the tank flaring and showing off all the time.

you need to resurrect your old post and put some new pics of him up as a healthy little chap..so many of us would love to see it (i know i was routing for you both! what a terrible case of ich!) well done for you, and good for him for being a little fighter!
