Jungle Clearing

Both feather type plants are very nice, but I agree with Carlo that you would do them more justice if you put a plant with a different shape of leaves in between them.

For the rest, it is looking very nice. Looking forward to the new plants you are getting.

Thanks, the Hornwort is out now, poxy thing just kept up rooting but I'm hoping the new plants will be here later, fingers crossed. :)

Right, all plants are now in and I'll get a couple of pic's up tomorrow, just need a decent camera as my iPhone doesn't do it justice.

looking nice - i'll have to put up some pics of my tank (same as this) it's really come on since I added proper CO2.

i'll post you some photos of
my micro reef when i get my
living rock this week yours is looking
spot on :good:

Cool, looking forward to it, that golden ram in your pic in your tank? I used to keep them in my nano.

Right, new update, its coming along well now, no more algae, and starting to look more jungle like, just a few more plants to add for the final effect while it grows in.
HC Cuba, 2 x Staurogyne SP, Star Grass and Pogostemon Erectus turned up so got them in the tank and the Hornwort out.
After adding them I thought the Staurogyne wasn't enough so after a trip to the LFS I found some Hygrophila Compact so I bought 2 of them to add to the front left side to go with the Staurogyne on the front right.
I'm still gonna get some more HC Cuba, soon as AC starts selling as I'd like a patchy natural looking carpet effect eventually, Also I ordered another Limnophilia Aromatica but the more bushy red variety to sit behind the Didiplis in front of the Myriophyllum.
Hope you like it, all comments welcome.

One of my favourite shots, love the look of the Anubias with the Sword and Star Grass sprouting from behind it.

looks a lot better, Steve. The plants arrived in good condition then.

It looks so much better, great job. In regards to the HC, why didnt you plant them individually and spread them out. They should then spread to form a carpet. Hope thats helpful. Looking good though,

James

I was gonna plant it like that but I was having so much trouble getting the felt rubbish off the roots that it was ruining the plant so I bunched it back up, plus my apple snails have taken a liking to it now so if I'd done that there'd be none left now lol, will be getting the apple snails in a different tank today tho.
