Trod wheres this write up i love your stories! Lol

You lot are soooo inpatient

Sunday morning and the Three Musketeers set out on their adventure, some of you who are old enough to remember might say that the 'key stone cops' would be a better name!!!!
Anyway Seffie (armed with sat nav this time) arrived bang on time.
We decided to go to Crews Hill first, lots to see there, converstation goes something like this 'So Mr Trod do you know where you're going or shall we use Sat Nav?' Mr Trod, 'No don't need that, I know where it is'
Now me being a canny lass knows whats coming, so I jump in the back and let Seffie sit in the front, one brush with the divorce courts going round the ring road in Dartford was enough for me
Thoughts now go to fish and we are happily discussing what we're looking for and hoping to see, and we are soon in enfield, now come that dreaded question, 'is it left or right here?' no problem, we all agree it's left, so off to the left we go, 'I don't remember that building' say Seffie, 'Thats a nice house' I say 'how could I have not noticed it before?' then Mr Trod says it 'I think we should have turned right!!' 'Yes' replies Seffie 'I think you're right' now I'm sitting in the back and did not really hear this converstation so I pipe up with 'hay guys, I think we should have turned right' when the mickey taking died down  Mr Trod does a nifty turn around, he only cut up 2 cars  We are back on track.
First port of call is The Aquatic warehouse, I came out with a syphon and Mr Trod a bit of pipe for his pond pump, needless to say we were very underwhelmed, so next stop Need Seffie to fill in name here as I can't remember but again nothing.
Now I want to get a bit serious here, I am going to name and shame, our next stop was Kingfisher aquatics, we walked in, looked in 2 tanks and walked straight back out again, the first tank had dyed parrot fish, not just one but all of them  then again in the next tank, dyed fish with diamond patterns :grr: Please firstly can someone tell me WHY and secondly Why do people buy these fish, This practise should be illegal, needless to say we were all on a bit of a downer after seeing that. So we made our way to Wildwoods, again nothing great but Mr Trod got some nice pond plants :fun: We went to a few more shops but the only things we had managed to buy were some lovely sweet strawberries, gorgeous plump round tomatoes and a carrot cake!!!
The next stop we saw some gorgeous fish in their show tank, we asked what they were and were told 'Red nosed Barb' oh oh oh, on the iphone I go and discover they are actually 'red line torpedo barbs' with a hefty price tag of 3 for £46, I want, I want, I want, I scream several times. So sensibly we walk away to do some research and hopeful that Urban Aquatics will have them
Heading there I do my research and yippee I can have them  but urban aquatics comes and goes and again nothing.
Right Manor Koi is now calling but first its a stop off for our customary Burger King :hey: Arriving at Manor Koi, Seffie and I get out of the car, I'm chatting away to Seffie and as such didn't notice this little wall, about knee height and very hard, yep I walk straight into it, let out a little yelp, now Seffie and Mr Trod were right at my side, once they had stopped laughing and had wiped the tears from their eyes, but still no fish
Our last and desparate port of call was Swallows, at last some lovely cherry Barbs and you guessed it torpedo barbs :yahoo: only problem was there were asking stupid money for them 2 for £40, so we decide that a little bargaining is the order of the day here, 'buying 15 cherry barbs and 4 torpedos, whats your best price?' we ask, 'prices as stated' comes the reply, extremely unhelpful and not at all friendly, I would have normally told them to shove it at this point and walked out with nothing, but I was so desperate to get some fish I purchased 15 Cherry barbs :good: as I refused to pay that price for the torpedo's.

So enough waffling now the nitty gritty photos, that aren't great as they just won't stay still  but you can get the gist.

Enjoy

There is a little twist at the end, once Seffie got home she had look on the internet and found Torpedo Barbs for sale for £7.99 each in Ipswich, guess where we're going on Sunday

:hyper: I've just counted the barbs in the first photo and there are 16 :good:
They have been in the tank 3 days now and have split into 2 distinct groups but look happy and lovely surfing in the flow :fun:

Aquatics Warehouse, it was dire, dead fish, corals that looked awful, paint flaking on the backs of tanks

SHE didnt tell you about the fuss she made when she hurt her leg on the so called wall (it was actually a piece of wood, stuck on top of another piece of wood, so a fence!! You should have heard it, there was me thinking, maybe its serious, so I take a look and there is a little scrape the size of a five pence piece, no blood, no nothing

So, Ipswich here we come............ and my grandaughter, princessCoral is coming along to buy her Gouramis, so lets hope Trod is on her best behaviour!!
