Journey To The Planted Side

Very nice! I think some photography lessons would be good hahaha whats the plant at the front in the last picture? Matt

LOL you could be right there Matt, using my phone, plus I'm rubbish at picture taking
As for the plant I have no idea, perhaps SBS can answer that one :good:

10 Zebra danios now added not a hope of getting a photo of them though

So in all I have

15 Cherry barbs
7 Torpedo barbs
1 green phantom plec
10 Zebra danios
5 Red onion snails

Next to be added will be 3 Pearl or Opaline Gourami's I can't decide which yet

The snails are doing a fine job of cleaning up.

All looking good :good:

Video added :fun: sorry about the sky sports news commentary

A bit shakey but you can see the fish and plants

All Comments welcome please :good:

Thank you Big sis.
Used my camera this time then uploaded to Photobucket took a long time though  .

Ah, so you cant help me with the iphone question I sent you :p took a video of my tank last week and just cant get the videos to save to camera roll!

And see the Phantom come out to play :good:

looking good Trod! The Danios look happy. Have you got any male cherries in there?

Thank you Ian.

Yes, I have at least 2 males in there, They go a lovely deep red when being amorous and chase the females

You know, when this tank matures, I'd consider opting for a Dutch scape. The rock work already forms a natural "Dutch-style" barrier and the combination of species just really says "Dutch layout" to me.

Nice.

Can you explain this dutch scape thing i keep reading it but havent seen a thread on what it actually is lol

I've been doing some reading about Flourish Excel, would my tank benefit from it?????
Am I right in thinking that its like dosing CO2, The plants are growing well and I don't really see the need to add Ferts but Excel seems to be helpful to the plants.

Its a liquid carbon so with co2 i wouldnt bother, i have been using it for about a week so far, its supposed to help get rid of algee but so far no change, however, i have heard it takes a while 2weeks before you really notice the difference.

What it says on the bottle: Flourish Excel is a source of bioavailable organic carbon. Blah blah blah one can derive a substantial benefit with the use of Flourish Excel either alone or in conjunction with CO2 injection. Blah blah blah

I have never used both though

I would dose tpn+ though
