I know you have answered this before, Frank, but what camera do you use, with what resolution?
Those are super pics!

Hi. Canon 1Ds with a Canon 50mm macro lens. - FrankI know you have answered this before, Frank, but what camera do you use, with what resolution?

Hi. It can be used fully automatic for exposure and focus - or, completely manually. - F.Is it fairly automatic? Or do you have to know the settings to make?
I often get a nice shot, but the resolution isn't enough to cut it down.

At the size we are creating images at, and mainly on the web, there is virtually no difference between the two. The difference becomes important as you progress to make large photo prints. 8 x 10 is about it for the 5 MP, probably 11 x 14 on the 11 MP/ - FrankCongratulations again!
11.1! No wonder. I am using a 5 megapixel Olympus.
Is that a point and shoot? You have to invest in a dSLR if you are serious about good fish photography. Truly not possible to get high-quality results with a P&S, regardless of the number of MP. Break out the credit card! - FrankIt's when I crop and enlarge, isolating a segment and zooming in, then the picture gets grainy. I was looking at the new Olympus Stylus 1200. I would be inclined to stick with the Olymus because I already have the xD cards. The battery is a different one though. And the optical zoom is only 3x.
Hi. If the fry survive, I generally take the first pics at 10 days, then 20 and then 30. The 3 to 5 days are the roughest. I'm still hoping they make it. - Frankcongrats on the wrigglers!! would love to see pics.
The dSLR's are fully automatic - just like a P&S. You can get one for well under $1000. Add a used macro for $200 and you're shootin' with the big boys. - FrankYes, you are right, it is a P&S. But I am only able to do P&S. I am at a loss with all the technology. I have several options on my Olympus Camedia, but I use the AUTO. lol This is the Stylus 1200 http/www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/...sp?product=1311
I don't mind spending some more (not $2,000+), but more buttons to push won't help me. So I am picking Your brain.
