Hi Ark, it has been running for about ten weeks, i did have some earlier pics bit i deleted them off photobucket and it deleted them from here too, regards john.

Lots of leaf colours, shapes and textures......a huge shoal of a single species of fish as the centrepiece. Now that`s what I call a proper large planted tank, John. Get the Pogostemon (Eusteralis) stellata whipped in to shape and it will look fantastic. Superb first effort!

How many Amano shrimp have you got in there?

Dave.

Very well done John!

Two point Five grand aye? Confess: How much does 'she who must be obeyed' think it costs?

I love your tank. I'm loving your set up.
But I don't like your photos. (What are those funny black shadows)?

I know you havn't asked, but if you do want better pcitures of your lovely tank, try this:
Best done at night will all room lighting OFF – only tank lighting on.
Highest possible camera quality setting (maximum resolution).
ISO 400 (or lower the ISO to get less grainy images).
Macro Mode
No Flash
White Balance – Set to ‘Fluorescent’.
Zoom out, take shot with hands / camera resting on something solid (& then trim on a PC - can afford to do this because highest poss quality setting).

Better explained here:
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume_2/cav...photography.htm

I can take good photos using this technique & I don't have an SLR, just a Canon IXUS 50

Now, go take a photo that really shows that tank up and then enter it into the AGA Aquascaping contest!

Andy

Hi Andy, thanks for the complements yes i agree my photography needs to be worked on i will try and improve over the next few weeks, i do have to finish reading the manual as well its has a lot to take in, regards john.

Fair enough.... I really want to see your tank, not what some camera on 'auto' thinks it sees...
