Hi, thanks for your reply. The problem is I can't really afford to spend much more money on this tank are there any ways I can eliminate algae and improve the scape without spending any money.

Hmmm, use Excel is one technique.

If you can't get the CO2 stable (and it really needs to be!) then I would suggest: Stop using CO2 and therefore reduce the lighting. OK, this will reduce growth... but so what?

Nice tank! looks scarilly similar to my 15g tank. Same substrate, similar plants. I like it.
