Jacks Rio 125 (to Be Named)

right ill get the flow sorted first, i sold the crypts for a tener so i made a 2 quid profit, and the rock has come, i got a massive piece which ive split up into 3.

my next buy will be a korilia 1, i think ill leave the HC for now, and add some fast growers as you said. ive been doing 50% WC every 3 days too, to help combat the algae, but as you said, patience is a virtue.

im off to do a WC now

got some pics of the rock, im not sure on positioning yet.

ive sawn the bend in the pipe off and drilled a hole in the pipe so when i dose the easy carbo the algae infested vallis gets a good coating of it, and its working! the algae is going pink!!

im quite happy with it now, and the algae is receding :D

lol, i think i was ripped off, it cost me £20 inc P+P, i think i should have waited and bought a bigger order to save on postage.

the koralia 1 is in now and flow is much better and algae isnt as bad, but the external is my next buy along with some more plants.

Looking good Jack...must be nice to have that much room to play around with. :good:

oh i forgot to add i bought two angels :) Im in love with them, they have so much personality.

i think a tall 125 litre tank is perfect for planting, i wouldn't like to go any bigger to be quite honest, i might do a nano now, as ive got some spare HC in a 1 litre pico, which will be going into the nano if i go ahead, im looking at a 12*8*8 like what george farmer did. a small iwagumi.

When they get older you will have problems if they don't pair up.

Bye bye to Cherry Shrimps too.

I'm liking the addition of the rocks.

theyre only small and the shrimps are going in my nano, how do i know if they pair up? because they swim together.

I had Juvi Angels for a while and they were always together, but then started attacking one another when they were about 3.5inches in length. Pairs will attempt to breed and not fight anywhere near as much.
There are more people on here that know much more about Angels though. Best way to get a pair I hear is to buy 6 young individuals...

Thats what i said at a 80l tank, since i have had 60l, 180l, 35l, 15l nd now i am upgrading to a 240l

ive ordered some HC (3 pots i know wont be enough lol) one of which is for the nano, and the rest for the main.

algae has gone more or less, i still get the odd bit of brown algae on the glass, but this will stop soon when the silicon stops leaching silicates into the water

some of the crypts are melting, i think because of the added flow, the two angels died spontaneously on the same day and the LFS wouldnt deal with it, no signs of illness in the tank.

im getting over the algae issue, im down to 5 hours a day and the P.helferi is looking alot healthier. as is the vallis which is a a foot and half in length, they were 8 inches 5 weeks ago

bit of an update pics probably later on tonight maybe tomorrow.

well i had the cardinal tetras swapped for neons again lol, and they have spawned! as have the cories but all eggs were eaten by the ram  as some of you may know i had a freak ammonia spike on sunday and monday which claimed the ram as a victim.
vallis is soaring and im probably going to put some HC or HM in on tuesday if my order comes
