Jack's Marine Adventure!

At least that makes it easier then.

Did you say a while back you wanted to leave room for a mandarin or am I imagining things??

Otherwise you were considering the blue assessor and the dottyback??

not sure on the mandarin, a bit high maintainence for me at the moment with my exams etc
would like a dottyback/gramma but im a bit un easy with the gramma/goby combo

You would need to wait until tank matured for the mandy anyway, so that could always be the if room fish.

Coral beautys are gorgeous, what is your thoughts on dwarf angels.

What about blennies, are they ok with your goby, perhaps purple firefish.

Wrasse, fairy and flasher (you know I love these, they are on my list)

Otherwise I am a bit stumped

would love a dwarf angel a lemon peel to be precise. but its the coral nipping :/

quite like the flasher wrasse, i like the algae blenny (you either love it or you hate it  everybody else in my house hates them  ) cant see a problem with the algae blenny and goby tbh.

oh the choices... i need a bigger tank

i may go for a green clown goby at some point ((the 6th if i feel the tank can take it) skimmer upgrade will come first though) , but i would keep a CLOSE eye on him.

Sorry had to resart my computer, doing weird things on me.

I need a bigger tank too. Problem is that just opens up the door for larger fish, then you are in the same situation again.

Don't be entirely put off, I've got a fireball dwarf angel and he doesn't bother my corals(other than the very occasional nip at the tip of a xenia when passing, but thats no biggy) I just keep a bit of nori in an algea clip and that keeps him happy when he fancies nibbling something. They can nip corals but that isn't the same as saying they will nip corals. IMO the activeness and colour these fish bring to a tank is worth the risk ;) ,this may not be the majority view here but many many people keep these lovely fish quite happily in a reef tank(me included).

OOOh, the tank be ready it be  *Eagerly awaits a photo update when you get back from the LFS, assuming all stats do check out OK*

haha congrats buddy!

its happened quickly imo o.0! wow!

good luck :D

hi mate, i wouldnt have a dotty and a flasher wrasse, i have a funny feeling that mine may have leaped out due to a little scuffle. Dottys are quite nippy with simily shaped fish.

Out of the two the wrasse would be my choice. More active swimmer.

ok, LFS tomorrow if my mum will take me.

I may look at the lemon peel but i hear they dont do very well in general.

the dotty back should be okay with the goby, it was a gramma goby combo that would worry me because of similar body shape etc, will get a pic of the test results up in a bit.

didd the 30% water change last night, test results are brewing as we speak, and then i have to run and catch the bus, had the allergy test yesterday and im allergic to nematocysts :/ and also dust and cats :/ ironically i have a cat and he may have to be rehomed :-(

picking up the clown goby tonight, i have some live mysis to get him feeding on as well as some cyclopeez. planning on picking up 4 turbos and a peppermint shrimp too!

Damn good job you took that anti histamine the other night.

If anything like that happens again, Anti histamine STRAIGHT AWAY, it will not hurt you to take the tablet but not taking it can if the reaction is bad enough lead to other problems, particularly as you have asthma. It will be the nematocysts that caused that problem.

It is worth noting Truck that I had allergy tests at age 5 and at age 13, the allergy tests were completely different and since then I have Nickel and latex sensitivities. They can and do change with age, you don't seem to get rid of them rather get more.

You never know, if I had done the same with aiptasia, I may have had the same reaction.

I told you to expect dust, if you have an allergy of any description, dust always reacts for some reason, my immunology is a bit rusty otherwise I should be able to explain why.

Good news on the tanks cycle :kana:

Will be expecting pictures later

its really interesting, my eyes have been streaming non stop for years and now I know why, so im hoovering my room 3 times a day now and the window is one vent 24/7. Cat is no longer allowed in my room.

good news!

went to the LFS after school and i snapped up 1 yellow clown goby, 1 cleaner shrimp (i would have had fire/blood but they dont appeal to me as much and they were £30 each!!!) and alsoo 4 turbos, i have 10 nass and 3 hermits coming next week. as reef stock cocked up the order
