nitrates are now 40ppm and ammonia is 0.50ppm
If you have .50ppm ammonia and do a 50% water change you should now have .25ppm ammonia assuming you have no ammonia in your tap water. Have you checked your tap water to see if you have ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate in you water supply? If you have .5ppm ammonia in your tap water all the water changes in the world won't get it to lower than .5ppm. If you have no ammonia in your tap water I would do a 80-90% water change to take your ammonia levels to only trace amounts as fast as possible. Your goal should be 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and under 40ppm nitrate at all times. Until your tank is cycled large water changes everyday is the only way you can come close.Im in the process of putting the water back in my tank so should i take out the same amount of water out again? i took out 50% of water by the way
