Hi guys, thankyou for letting me join your amazing forum. My daughter and myself started getting into the fish hobby around a year or so ago now. Im now completely hooked ( excuse the pun?).
We have two tanks right now, and im already wanting another tank. I know you shouldnt but i do have a favourite. I purchased some purple harlequin rasboras a while back and didnt realise till i got home that one of them only has one eye. I didnt think she would pull through, but shes one of the tuffest most brilliant fish ever!! All my fish have come to the front and want to say hellllooooooo.

Hello and welcome to the forum :fish: :hi: :fish:thank you for posting the pictures. The one thing I would suggest is having some live plants. I had all plastic plants for year but switched to live plants and I am happy I did. Live plants help improve the quality of the water. Anubias and Java ferns are easy pants that you can attach to wood or rocks and you do not need soil. Sword plants you can just use plant tabs and plant in your gravel. You have nice looking tanks.:good:

Hi retired viking. I did have all live plants i had water wisteria and live moss balls ( wich i still have) and java fern. But it gave the tank a huge problem with pond/bladder snails. They also all broke up ( the plants). Ive had to get assassin snails to tackle the growing population of snails and had to fish the bits of plants out. So just for now ive put the fake ones in for the fish to hide in when needed untill i can get the plants that dont have snails or disease on from my lfs. They are just a very short addition. ?

I also have had snail issues, I have a catch and release policy where I catch the snails and release them in my RES turtle tank. My turtles love snails:devil:
